New Friend

Why Hello!

First off: I have been soooo bad with not doing a new blog: because the computer charger cord went boooo! sO wE HAVE a new one and we are up and running! THis would be WAY tooo much for a phone to type it!

This weekend was crazy BUSY! We decided on Sunday we were going to redo our den roof. Well Jason did it with my girlfriend's husband, he use to do roofing for a living. So he taught Jason how to roof.  EVERYTHING that could POSSIBLY go WRONG- went WRONG! LEt's say a 4 hour job turned into 2 and half days! :( ON A GOOD NOTE: IT IS FINISHED!  LEt me run you through Monday...

Jason took Monday off so in case he did not finish the job, he would have time.  Sure enough it was not done monday.. so he was up on the roof at 7 AM all by himself trying to finish this like a mad man. OUr neighbor across the alley, came over and said "man I love roofing.. I will help you. I cannot let you do this by yourself." Jason not really knowing him except in passing to drive into our garage and the friendly nod or wave... Denied and said no i can do it myself, thanks. THen the friendly neighbor proceeded to say NO i will help you.. just let me change and I will be over.

Well let me rephrse we know him a litle better now than just this encounter.

About a week ago my parents dog thought it would be a GREAT idea to escape my yard. He is 12- and a big dog and a little senial.. so off he went. Our friendly neighbor retrieved him, not knowing he belonged to my parents that were here. Walked him down to their home, they were not there. And he wlaked him to blockbuster, because he could not read the # on the tags, without his glasses, and had no phone with him.  THey called my parents and told us he hd him there. Now.. our friendly neighbor put an extension cord around austins colar and onward they walked.. WHAT A SITE!

HE said he loved animals and just couldn't see him getting hurt.

Now our friendly neighbor,,,, is a little rough looking, and missing a few teeth, and always sits in the alley in his little corner rental house- that is like a triplex. He is always drinking a beer, usually somehting called a forty and smoking some ciggerattes. (HOWEVER we have LEARNED- he may look a little out there.. but he is nicer than alotta people around~!)--- as you will see:

So he gets on the roof and starts telling Jason how to do this and helped Jason TREMONDOUSLY with the flashing around the fireplace. He had to handmake the thing around the chimney because there was none made big enough. I mean this guy is SO knowledgable in so much random stuff... that we didn't even know about!Found out he was in the military for 20 some years.. and retired a master sergeant or something like that. He told us that our dog, austin, looked like he wasn't all there and looked lost.. and he said "ya.. i understand that." HOW SAD IS THIS!!!!

So we had beer on hand to give our friendly neighbor.. on a roof.. right how safe is this? But jason said he worked BETTER with the beer.. and was a functioning drunk, that needed his beer. Money doesn't mean much to him, the company and beer was all he wanted.(if he even wanted for that much)

We asked him his favorite beer and found out he was in Germany for 7 years with the army and said it all is good.. then he tld Jason  story about budweiser and figured he liked that?> So as payment for him from sunrise to sunsent.. we got him  pack of budweiser. You would have thought we gave him a million bucks!

Althought this friendly neighbor may have some addictions.. he is the nicest guy we have met in a long time.

I feel bad.. always rushing to my car before and driving off with a smile.. and kinda weary of him.. due to appearence and what he is doing, WHen all along he just wanted someone to talk to .  HE KEPT HIS WORD TOO! He told Jason the next day he would come and finsih something on the roof.. Jason told him no I can do it when I get off work and he said No i will do it... and sure enough I was home and saw him climbing up there. So nice... DID NOT have to do ANY of this! Shoot... even our own friends were NOT that willing to lend a helping hand!

I am still in shock and awe.. on this friendly encounter. . . Zeeky even prayed for our friendly neighbor on Monday night- it was so precious.

THru our friendly neighbor I learned I am still quick to judge, although I do not want to admit it.. But I do not know if I am as quick to judge as I am to keep my guard up being a woman and a mother of 2 young children with me at all times.

Tonight our friendly neighbor came over and made jason a gift. For him not having much, he sure gave a nice present for Jason. I am happy we have someone that will keep a look out for us and that he feels a little better knowing us as well.

So go out of your way and say hi to someone you usually wouldn't you never know .. they may have an interesting back story and being knowledgable in areas you did not know yourself.

God knew we needed someone at that time.. and he placed someone there. There was a reason the roof didn;t get done the first day.. and I believe it was for our friendly neighbor... and hopefully we are placed in his lives for some reason.

Not much...

Why Hello!

I haven't wrote in a while.. because well life has happened!  Sometimes just get so busy!

Tommorrow Jason is starting on the roof with one of our friends that knows how to roof. I am pretty nervous and excited. Nervous that somehow somehting will go wrong ! But excited because it will be cool for him to learn something and he will enjoy doing it.

I am tired today- we had a yard sale and made some money. But I am reallllly thinking it is not even worth it with all the time put into them! yowza! and a loss of 2 whole days! But at least I had some great people to do it with!

We had a guy at the yard sale TAKE A STICKER off a 50 cent item and MOVE it to a 3.00 item- my mom looked like she was shopping and SAW him do it! He brings it up to buy it and my aunt goes, oh no this is not yours is it? cuz each sticker had a price on it with a persons initial, and he changed it from my aunts to mine.. and i said no- i didnt have one of this. and she goes this isnt the price i am sorry. The guy gets mad and goes well thats what is on it! And she said I am sorry it is.. blah blah blha!

SERIOUSLY WHO DOES THIS AT A YARD SALE! and a 2.50 difference is ALOT for a yardsale item.. we are NOT kohl's and no- we will NOT give it to you for that price! WHAT A JERK!  MORALS MORALS MORALS! We were ALL IN SHOCK! I mean I am all about if it is 300 bucks and you say how about 1.50? shoot the worst we could say is no- even ASK for it to be 50 cents if you really want... SHE PROBABLY would HAVE gave it to him! but he did that.. WOW!!!!

MAggie is SO close to crawling! She gets up and rocks! It is sooo cute- but i am totally OK with her NOT crawling.. because that means she is growing UP and that she will be even more all her in her bro's business. I don't know how I will EVER be able to leave the room with them both in it! NOT safe then! hahahahahahaha

I see Z trying to play with her now and it is so cute! And when we went shopping today we left her with my parents to make more room for everything we needed.. he started to cry for his sissy! he was crying and saying "maggie" he m issed her! How to PULL ON MY HEART STRINGS! Soooo soooo cute! I really HOPE I can help them learn to be best friends.. they will have each other forever... at least i pray :) How do we raise them to be there for eachother and not become enemies.. I want them to be able to tell secrets and be there for each other..

I will want to know wahts going on when they are odler.. but in a way sometiems I hope they will work against me together (to an extent) tobe there for each other.. Does this make sense at all what I am saying? I really pray for them to have a great relationship - I told him the other day that he needed to be nice to his sister because they will be bestest friends. I told him he needed to protect her (SORRY MAGGIE) I couldn't stand my brother being my '2nd dad'- I would remind him greatly ALOT he was NOT my dad.. but I know it was all for my safety! :)

THis mama is tired after these couple of days and don't really have much to say or what to say.. i am just gonna say have a great rest of the weekend everyone! :)

Why hello!

I am writing early today.. because I forgot to write last night.. more because last night was one of those crazy nightS!

Last night I took my 1967 corvair convertible out with my dad... He did a few things to work on it and wanted to see how she ran.

This car right now is red... but it will be HOTT PINK!!!!!  Anywho: my daddy bought me this car - and oh boy do i LOVE HER! We went for a ride to get more oil in it, then we went by my cousins house (where a man started to follow us- unbenounce to me at this point) and then to my Aunt's- where the guy that followed us said- "hey is that a corvair!"

He proceeded to tell us that he has 2 himself!  A '63 and a '65! My daddy was all excited to find someone that knows about corvairs and asked him where he gets his work done and he said he does everything himself. My daddy asks who he knows that paints cars and again this guy does it HIMSELF! he said we could come right down from my aunts to his house and take a look at her...

So the adventure begins:

We leave my aunt's and go down the hill to this random guys house.. NO IDEA HIS NAME- but gave us the location of his home... And as she is getting ready to turn.. she DIES! put put put.. poof she is tired! :(  My dad pops the engine starts looking and "playing" nothing.. still put put tired...

I am saying "come on baby come on baby you know you want to.. I know your tired" put put pfff

So we call my mom to get some "eather?" no idea the spelling but it is something to start the engine.. my mom comes to save the day.. and it starts to help and still nothing.. But before my mom arrived a big african american lady stops by to help jump my car- so nice - it is late (9pm maybe?) and may I mind you we are now in the ghetto of rock island.. ya know where drug deals on your left and ladies of the night on your right sorta neighborhood- in this classic car.. all  i can think is i hope i don't get shot and my car doesn't get stripped...

The lady was pulling up to the hood of the car.. my dad says- nooo the engine is in the back- and she goes "THE ENGINE IS IN THE BAAACK!?!?!" hahahahaha- my thoughts exactly when I got the car :)

She goes "ohhh boy she WANNNtED herself a classic car"_ she tried no jump would work.. 'Baby' was tired. My mom on the phone proceeds to say- "is it out of gas"

Now.. my dad is what we call a "sill" temper and he can become a hott head and just think in the now and not logical at times... His temper is flaring.. he is getting mad.. I proceed to laugh and try and lighten the mood- hum songs. kind of revert back to my 12 yr old self.. seemed to help :)

My mom shows with just the eather... and then we said that corvair guy is waiting I do not want him to think we ditched him! So we said what do we do.. looking at my beautiful car sitting all alone in the ghetto... and then us 3- I said "dad do you want me and mom to go to corvair guys house and see if he wants to come back and look at it?" He goes "do you know how to get there?" me "no but you could tell me how?" my lovely tiny buck20 mother says- "Andrew I can stay with the car- just tell me wha tyou want me to do"

***BAHAHAHAHAH! my MOM stay with the car!??!?! Is she still looking at me as a 3 yr old? I would be better off staying with the car.. I could break her over my knee in one snap! But she may be only a buck20 but she has some mighty fiestyness to her.. I wouldn't want to be on the recieving end of her anger...**

My dad makes a decision "let's go" we all 3 trail off to this corvair mans home.. In my PT- there are 2 convertible carseats in the back for my babies (who I wish to see after this night...) and mom has to sit in Zeek's carseat- hahah TOLD YOU SHE WAS TINY!

We pull up (not in the corvair) but in the PT i own.. looking confused .. my dad gets out and explains the story.. he called over another corvair guy and they drive in their '68 corvair to my '67 stranded corvair..

All 3 men in the engine looking touching, doing all that manly stuff.. . My mom again "does it need gas?" they all have a deer in headlights look... "could be" We decide to take off back to the house to get gas..

well we arrive a NEW man is there! EVERYONE knows .. "corvair steve"- yes that is what they call him! hahahaha And this guy does the stock racing things?

Sure enough 'Baby' was thirsty.. parched.. she drank it up and popped right off! hahahahahahahahahhahaha My little tiny mother- indeed did know that it needed gas. She goes "your father thinks mechanical... I think logical" <oh is that NOT a woman's statement! hahahaha

We drive it to corvair steve's house and there she rests overnight- he is going to take a look at 'baby' and see what she needs done. We all know she can use a tune up and some new things.. and that is why i LOVE her! She will be mine when she is all done-ready to go for a ride! It will be like  a NEW car when she is all finished! :)

Now... through all of this.. there was a sense of thankfulness. Somehow again God provided. He kept us safe, kept the car safe and brought new amazing people into our life. Seriously who was the lady in the van that jumped my car and took off as soon as pony arrived? another protector? she was like an angel that appeared then disapeared as quickly as she came..

Then there was corvair Steve and his band of corvair guys. If this would not have happened we would not have met corvair Steve and all these people with corvairs and learned so much! My daddy is excited to learn some more about my car and we foudn JUST the people to teach us! I know this guy kept us safe as well that night- it is just amazing!

So this night as hectic as it was it really shows there still are good kind people out there. Ones that help in a time of need without batting an eye. Again.. as I have said many times before.. God's plan!

On the note of good people:
My parents puppy, Austin, escaped last night earlier in the evening.. he is pretty senial anymore- being 12 and all. Zeek was the one to know that Austin went missing. In the garage he is going "austin? austin?" Jason says.. "austin isn't here buddy" my dad "whhhat yes he is!" Well we paniced and went running like mad to find him. NO AUSTIN!

Then my lady nieghbor across the street says my boyfriend found him and walked him to the address on the tag. Well they weren't home then he walked to blockbuster to have them call my parents. My parents rescued Austin at blockbuster. Our nieghbor found him walking on 12th and he almost got hit by a car! and then he gave him bread and gravy and tied him up with an extension cord! hahahaha and walked with him to my parents home, not having a phone or did not have his glasses to read the #- took him to blockbuster to see if they would call for him.

Another good person in the world to save our beloved puppy! I don't know what I would do if something happened to that spoiled little dog! :)

So today I am thankful for good people!

            me and 'Baby'

Real Life to Movie

Why hello!

Today was a great day!

We had our usual monday playdate and Zeeky is getting into everything there! He finally goes up the big blow up slides and jumpy things- ALL ON HIS OWN! He has NO fear! It is quite amazing... and it is unbelievably cute how he tries to run around with the "big" kids.. he loves to think he is a big boy! So so so precious!

Then it was nap time- which I watched the movie "Beastly" with Maggie. Then she fell asleep during the movie, I guess it wasn't her style yet.  It was ok- kind of a modern day beauty and the beast- but in high school- and a little over the top- and the acting wasn't too good (but I should expect that in chick flicks) but overall a good movie- because it was a movie I could turn my brain off watching and just enjoy.

What really amazed me in the movie was when the boy turned 'ugly' - he sort of looked like the people that tattoo their bodies all up and put random piercings in--- Kind of suprised that didn't really offend people that want to look like that? Maybe it did and I am just out of the "know" of movie ratings.

I know it was teaching the whole concept of- beauty is in the inside- - - which is true- however: let's be honest there is a beauty to the outside to an extent.. but it does NOT make all of the person.

I do NOT consider myself a shallow person- however: I must be honest.. I would not have shown such an interest in Jason if he was not sooooo good looking. Of course looks are in the eye of the beholder.

Then from the first attraction of him.. it went into getting to know him and that he was quite an amazing man. Then he was EVEN MORE attractive!

But sometimes in movies they go totally over the top to one extreme to the other- but I guess that is why they are movies- and when people say movies now a days are teaching children such horrible things..

well you are the parent- dont let them watch it... and morals should start at home--- NOT in movies.

I am not a fan of scary movies, never have been. Not quite worth being scared and sprinting to my bed because I am scared some monster may get me. Jason learned when we first started dating in college... that watching a scary movie with me was NOT the way to get me to cuddle. :) Luckily he was ok with that.

I will share with you how the man of my life and I met:

Freshmen year of college- I tell my mom and dad: I am going away to college single, no boys for me- I want to get good grades and just focus on me and school... (God is a funny man- he LOVES to mess up your plans.. but his plan is ALWAYS BETTER) :) :)

So.. It was the second day of classes a Tuesday.. I walk into my class and there in the first row is this fine looking man.. He was wearing a forest green polo, khaki shorts, brown sandels and his hair was blonde and shaggy (reminded me kind of that surfer "do") and boy was he in amazing shape! However: first row reading a text book on 2nd day of classes.. classified him as a NERD!

I was interested in his (appearence) and decided I should sit the row over catty corner to him.. so I could keep an eye on him and not seem like i was.

Then we had to do a get to know you exercise- ice breakers - *what fun*- So I purposely slid my desk next to his in the circle.. One of the things was we had to stand up when someone said something that you enjoyed and until the whole class stood up, at that time Jason announced he was a swimmer for WIU- and then his swim buddy stood up as well for that one.. adn took over. WHAT AND AN ATHLETE- double score! (could he really get any better!?!?)

THen at the end of class the teacher said to look at out schedules and compare with other people to see if you have any classes together. So jason was takling to his swim buddy and I was the creeper listening in... and he said that his next class was..... THE EXACT SAME CLASS I HAD! So- I said: hey I have that class too! what does my "nerd" "hott" "athlete" Jason do: ??

Jason (puts arm in a muscle type position and fist and bows head while screaching loudly "YES") So we decided to walk together to next class...

Jason tells me (after we have been dating for awhile that he thought I was a cool chill girl-mainly because how I was dressed at this time..)

I'm sorry it was class.. who really gets ready for class in college.. I was wearing athletic shorts, tennis shoes, a hooded sweatshirt, and my hair was pulled back and no make up.

During our hour walk to class.. we talked and talked and TALKED- I even found out in that hour (very personal things-we were both self endulgers (which is weird cuz he usually isn't)) Also: found out he was a christian- but our next class helped bring that along -World Religions-

During class (Jason thought I was a COMPLETE airhead) I was doodling ALL OVER my paper, and I was passing anote to him... yes a NOTE! It asked if he had aim, if he wanted to do dinner after his swim practice.. where he would head to after my next class...

He agreed- (again his mindset was that I was a cool girl) my mindset was (he is delicious)

When we met after swimming practice (for him) I brought a few girlfriends with me.. come on couldn't go alone! And we were going to the cafeteria (how romantic) but I did manage to shower, put on make up, where a much more flattering outfit and put on some sort of heel...

Jason was half asleep on the couch downstairs waiting for me and I walked up to hima nd he goes "Graaace?" HE DIDN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE ME!   Indeed my work was done :) At that moment he said (I knew you would be girlfriend material- he says that I already had the personality and the looks were there too!)

We hung out and watched a movie... after dinner in my friends room- I had to walk him down to the boys side because men must be escorted on female floors I said good bye and walked away...

Again later after we were an item he tells me *(HE WENT IN FOR A KISS AND I WALKED AWAY!) hahaha

So he went back to his room to his roomate saying "I am not sure if she likes me!!??" hahahahahaha

I HAD NO IDEA HE WENT IN FOR THE DIVE! poor Jason.. however SHAME on HIM! First "date" hahahaha deserves him right.. right!?? :)

Well after spending almost 24/7 together after a week.. we decided to become official.. the rest is history...

A marriage and 2 babies later.. I still see my sexy man right there on the couch beside me :) However: my point being.. both of us noticed looks.. but the personality was right there- and even now- we have both changed (him not swimming anymore) me (having 2 babies) I find him the MOST attractive man on earth and I know he finds me the most attractive female on earth !

So although looks may have brought us together.. I think for a relationship to have substance and last.. you need that loving of the person for who they are as well.

Make a movie about that Warner brothers ! hahahaha

How we have changed_ When we were first together :)

When we were first together- so YOUNG!

this is the last poem

THIS POEM! This is the ONE that I was trying to end my blogs with...

I think this sums up my FIRST blog of the night perfectly!

please read.. and take it in!

Childhood Doesn't Wait

I was sitting on a bench
while in a nearby mall,
When I noticed a young mother
with two children who were small.

The youngest one was whining,
"Pick me up," I heard him beg
but the mother's face grew angry
as the child clung to her leg.

"Don't hang on to me," she shouted
as she pushed his hands away,
I wish I'd had the courage
to go up to her and say...

"The time will come too quickly
when those little arms that tug,
Won't ask for you to hold them
or won't freely give a hug.

"The day will sneak up subtly
just as it did with me,
When you can't recall the last time
that your child sat on your knee.

"Like those sacred, pre-dawn feedings
when we cherished time alone
Our babies grow and leave behind
those special times we've known.

"So when your child comes to you
with a book that you can share,
Or asks that you would tuck him in
and help him say his prayer...

"When he comes to sit and chat
or would like to take a walk,
Before you answer that you can't
`cause there's no time to talk"
Remember what all parents learn
so many times too late,
That years go by too quickly
and that childhood doesn't wait.

"Take every opportunity,
if one should slip away
Reach hard to get it back again,
don't wait another day."
I watched that mother walk away
her children followed near,
I hope she'll pick them up
before her chances disappear

THIS ONE IS A TEAR JERKER- i just love it:)

DADDY'S DAY

Her hair up in a pony tail, her favorite dress tied with a bow
Today was Daddy's Day at school, and she couldn't wait to go
But her mommy tried to tell her, that she probably should stay home
Why the kids might not understand, if she went to school alone
But she was not afraid; she knew just what to say
What to tell her classmates, on this Daddy's Day
But still her mother worried, for her to face this day alone
And that was why once again, she tried to keep her daughter home
But the little girl went to school, eager to tell then all
About a dad she never sees, a dad who never calls.
There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet
Children squirming impatiently, anxious in their seats
One by one the teacher called, a student from the class
To introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed
At last the teacher called her name, every child turned to stare
Each of them were searching, for a man who wasn't there
"Where's her daddy at?" she heard a boy call out
"She probably doesn't have one," another student dared to shout
And from somewhere near the back, she heard a daddy say
"Looks like another deadbeat dad, too busy to waste his day."
The words did not offend her, as she smiled at her friends
And looked back at her teacher, who told her to begin
And with hands behind her back, slowly she began to speak
And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique
"My Daddy couldn't be here, because he lives so far away
But I know he wishes he could be with me on this day
And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know
All about my daddy, and how much he loves me so
He loved to tell me stories, he taught me to ride my bike
He surprised me with pink roses, and taught me to fly a kite
We used to share fudge sundaes and ice cream in a cone
And though you cannot see him, I'm not standing all alone
'Cause my daddy's always with me, even though we are apart
I know because he told me, he'll forever be here in my heart."
With that her little hand reached up, and lay across her chest
Feeling her own heartbeat, beneath her favorite dress
And from somewhere in the crowd of dads, her mother stood in tears
Proudly watching her daughter, who was wise beyond her years
For she stood up for the love of a man not in her life
Doing what was best for her, doing what was right
And when she dropped her hand back down, staring straight into the crowd
She finished with a voice so soft, but its message clear and loud
"I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star,
And if he could he'd be here, but heaven's just too far,
But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away."
And then she closed her eyes, and saw him there that day
And to her mother's amazement, she witnessed with surprise
A room full of daddies and children, all starting to close their eyes
Who knows what they saw before them, who knows what they felt inside
Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at her side.
"I know you're with me Daddy," to the silence she called out
And what happened next made believers, of those once filled with doubt
Not one in that room could explain it, for each of their eyes had been closed
But there placed on her desktop, was a beautiful fragrant pink rose
And a child was blessed, if only a moment, by the love of her shining bright star
And given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far.

Housework Can Wait

Come in, but don't expect to find
All dishes done, all floors ashine.
Observe the crumgs and toys galore.
The smudgy prints upon the door.
The little ones we shelter here
Don't thrive on a spotless atmosphere.
They're more inclined to disarray
And carefree even messy play.
Their needs are great, their patience small.
All day I'm at their beck and call.
It's Mommy come! Mommy see!
Wiggly worms and red scraped knee.
Painted pictures, blocks piled high.
My floors unshined, the days go by.
Some future day they'll flee this nest,
And I at last will have a rest!
Now you tell me which matters more,
A happy child or a polished floor?

BABIES: STOP! KISS! LOVE!

HEY ALL!
I guess I should really try and stick with this a little better.. however it was the hubby's bday- so lot's of festivities this weekend for him!

We had a going away party for one of his high school buddies that got a cop job finally :) YEY! Then Saturday we went to tugfest- you know the ole exciting tug of war between Iowa and Illinois.... and who not but ILLINOIS win! Zeeky quite enjoyed it- he is SUCH a people watcher! But really can you blame him? So much excitement with different styles to his eyes.

He was "ok" with the little kid rides... but he did get to do bumper cars with mommy! That was sooo FUN! I LOVE it when he wants to do stuff with me.. because I know he will grow up all just too tooo TOOOOOOO fast! Ya know.. I always heard "treasure it now because they grow too fast"- well yowza... let me tell you- they sure do! I swear just yesterday I had him.. and in a month he will be 2!  I really truly do miss his being rocked to sleep at night and the snuggles and the cuddles.. already it is his bed.. alone time and he is out. He doesn't need nor want mommy to cuddle with him.. but he sure will take mommy's beloved stuffed animal, Donna! I say that is TRUE love because I will give in and let him have her on a select few nights... :)

The doctor wanted us at Maggie's 4 month check up to be able to lay her in her bed and she fall asleep on her own. He said it doesn't really matter but it is "easier for you in the long run". I mean yes.. you make more "mistakes" with things with your first.. however: I really don't knwo what the mistake is to rush them into their own bed. I have friends come to me when their child is under a year and saying "I still have to rock them to sleep" and they are worried. I can see how when the doctor tells you to get them to sleep on their own. BUt really- what 16 year old kid do you see still sleeping with their mommy? In time- nature takes over and they will sleep on their own. So I say if you are ok with snuggles and rocking them to sleep, cuddleing with them while they sleep before you fall asleep- why not? UNLESS it bugs you and you want your night- then it is something to work on.

We had to do the whole crying it out method with Z to get him to sleep on his own... it was a ROUGH few nights- but he did it.. now I wonder WHY DID I!?!?! I get the "stolen" snuggles from him- because he doesnt relize he is snuggling with me when he is sleepy, wathcing elmo and so on.. the BEST kisses are the unexpected ones I don't ask for.. like when he is just sooo excited he runs over and kisses my knee, or grabs my face and just KISS my cheeky! :) I cherish these beloved moments with him.. because already I see how soon things go, like cuddles and sleeping.

Maggie- she is a different baby in her own way. She loves SNUGGLES (z did too at that age) but she is SO easy going- really anything anywehere.. she is just HAPPY! We have on some nights when it is too hott just lay her in her bed when she is halfway asleep- and boom she is out. One night Jason was trying to get something together in her room before she passed out.. and he needed somewhere safely and securely to lay her, so he chose her bed.. and by the time he turned around she was OUT! Zeeky never did that at her age.. and we didn't force this upon her.. she is just content :)

It makes me sad she wants to go to sleep on her own (or I guess it is more that she CAN fall asleep on her own)... Because I know- too soon she won't want nor need my snuggles :(

I wonder if that feeling ever goes away? I look at my mom and dad.. who I love DEARLY- however: I don't have the impulse (obviously) to go kiss on them randomly or snuggle (weird a 24 yr old snuggeling their daddy on the couch)- but I wonder if they miss it? If they think I remember when she was 6 mos, 1 yr, 2 yrs.. etc... and all she needed is me?

When I still look at Z (HE IS ONLY 2!) and think I just want to snuggle I just want a hug... but it is ALREADY- on his terms!

Your baby... no matter if they are grown, married, have babies of their own.. must and has to be always your baby.

I catch myself saying "ohh I can't wait till he is in school and he can do this!" or "I can't wait till he can talk in full sentences." yes.. that's nice- but that means he is growing up faster and faster.

So I say just remember your babies will ALWAYS be your babies.. no matter how big or how small, no matter what, when or where.. and cherish these moments. Hold onto them and just enjoy the moment and them.

Be thankful for your babies.. and Thank God for them everyday.. One thing I remember EVERY night before I go to bed...

What if you woke up the next morning and ALL you had was what you THANKED God for the night before?

They are my life and my everything.. I for sure thank God for them every night... if not anything else.. BUT them! :) *dont you worry there is more on that than just them.. but they aren't ever forgotten!

Here are a few poems.. please do cry ;) (now that i'm a mama.. I do enjoy a good weep!

**Not gonna lie.. this one made me ball!!!!!

Can I Carry You?

© Brad Anderson
I guess that I can hold you
one more time before you grow.
And tell you that I love you
so that you will always know.
Please let me tie your shoe again.
One day you'll tie your own.
And when you think back to this time
I hope it's love I've shown.
Can I help you put your coat on?
Can I please cut up your meat?
Can I pull you in the wagon?
Can I pick you out a treat?
One day you might just care for me,
so let me care for you.
I want to be a part
of every little thing you do.
Tonight could I please wash your hair?
Can I put toys in the bath?
Can I help you count your small ten toes
before I teach you math?
Before you join a baseball team
can I pitch you one more ball?
And one more time can I stand near
to make sure you don't fall?
Let's take another space-ship ride
Up to the Planet Zoor.
Before our Cardboard Rocket
doesn't fit us anymore.
Please let me help you up the hill.
while you're still too small to climb.
And let me read you stories
while you're young and have the time.
I know the day will come
when you will do these things alone.
Will you recall the shoulder rides
and all the balls we've thrown?
I want you to grow stronger
than your Dad could ever be.
And when you find success
there will be no soul more proud than me.
So will you let me carry you?
One day you'll walk alone.
I cannot bear to miss one day
from now until you've grown.

Is this what my parents think???

Though You Are Grown

© Cynthia A. Sieving
I remember years ago,
you were so little then.
Sometimes,
I can't help but wish,
that you were small again.
I've cried when you've faced heartaches,
and saw, that as you grew,
nothing broke your Spirit,
instead it strengthened you.
I'm filled with mixed emotions,
as I hold back all the tears
and, with much pride remember,
back so many years.
When I first held you in my arms,
if only I'd have known,
the years would feel like moments,
after you had grown.
You aren't a child,
though in my eyes,
I guess you'll always be,
that baby boy who changed my life,
and means the world to me.

THIS MADE ME CRY- thinking of Mags and her daddy!

Give Her A Day

© Lisa Tasker

What can you give to one small girl?
A diamond ring, a baton to twirl?
A pretty pink dress with lots of bows,
or dainty sandals that show her toes.
A walk in the woods, a romp in the park,
a shopping trip from dusk till dark?
A shine new bike, a kitten for a pet?
No, there's still time for such things,
yet...
Give her a day of her very own.
Just one small girl and her Dad alone.
Give her the gift that only you can,
the companionship of her old man.
Games are outgrown and toys decay,
but she'll never forget
if you give her a day.

FACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK

Why Hello!

Boy oh boy was it a WONDERFUL day today! It was sooo nice out! I could seriously just live outside on days like this and enjoy that nice warm sun with the cool air. I cannot wait for fall! Then winter always comes toooooo soon and then we say we cannot wait for summer- it really is quite an evil viscious cycle!

A few of my pet peves:
I see these alot on facebook :
-Just sayin' - I HATE this when people use it.. usually it is after a snotty remark, or a sarcastic remark. JUST SAY IT - wait you already did.. so don't reiterate it with.. just sayin'
- People with views that are a little over the top... wait NO - WAY over the top! It's one thing to write it on your wall and be proud but another to start going onto other people's walls telling them your opinions and going on and on and on... But I guess that's why there is a facebook- because they can say it through this "virtual" world because they would never say it to your face.
-Misspelled words on posts (now this is totally contradictory to myself) because i MISSPELL all ALL ALL the time- but I really HATE "to" spelled wrong, (to, too, 2, two) another hated word.. mainly because I do this one ALL the time (thru, threw and through)- However if I do by chance notice a misspelled word it bugs me and I want to say something- or it just gets to me.. so RANDOM? right? I am sure up to this sentence here I have misspelled at least 5 words... probably more.
-Your friend on facebook, but not in real life. You know the one that will comment on your wall, give you great advice, or an opinion- however you see them out at the mall- they manage to duck their head and run the other way. A simple smile was quite hard?
- The endulger:the one that tells pretty serious stuff as a newsfeed: for example: I HATE MY LIFE: My husband is divorcing me again because he cheated on me! <<WHHAT!?!?! or "ALL I WANT TO DO IS CRY BECAUSE HE BROKE MY HEART BY TELLING SO AND SO THIS_BUT IT'S NOT TRUE BECAUSE OF THIS" <<WHHHHAT  you know the ones that tell you EVERYTHING about their relationship and then some. However: it is like a bad bad car wreck- and I cannot avert my eyes ? So I find my block button... or "I got new boobies!" <whhhhAT! WHY WHY WHY write this for the world to see? Now I do write alot but it is usually just about how much I love my children, my husband and I am loving the day, great playgroup- it is not serious stuff that is better left unsaid or to a best friend. . .
- The fighters: The people that have a fight going on between two different facebooks. HE JUST SAID THIS! Well SHE JUSt SAID THIS! *insert block button again
- The cusser- just uncalled for. . . really your vocabulary is that limited that you cannot use a different word-
-FML- I HATE This saying.. and shortened- really not a fan of it either.

ehh.. there are many more things that bug me on fb- but i manage to keep it, and upload pics to it, Jason told me he heard a statistic that 4 million people stopped having facebook beceause they stated "they were annoyed with all the ads"
rrrrpp nah.. I think they just had a TON of annoying friends on fb.

So... what annoys you on fb? I am sure I have many many more- but I cannot even think of them all! I usually just laugh and move on or over look it. Really what they are saying doesn't really hurt me, or ruin my day and so on. Really doesn't make a difference if I say anything back to them.. because it is just the computer. Also if I am that annoyed- why don't I just delete them?

I must enjoy the drama for some reason.. because many of these people are still my "friends" on fb-

Funny story:
You know I have thought of deleting people from my friends list, but just haven't gotten around to it... I don't know if I am scared I will hurt their feelings- or more that I want to be nosey?

I recently noticed I got deleted from someone. I could really care less, however, what bugs me is that whenever they see me, they try to talk to me and carry on a conversation like nothing has changed. I really think it is just for the show of others. (I know why I was deleted-which is even better of a story...)-
My question is: am I the bigger person for not deleting them or are they the bigger person for deleting me?

Another question: Is it better to be nice on facebook and not talk in the real world or to disconnect from the person on facebook but still try and talk in the real world....

That is the one that throws me for a loop- because: If I dislike you enough to not want to look at your pictures, see what you are up to... why go out of your way to butt into my conversations and talk to me? Is it for the show of others.. beause I am pretty sure they can see you are not my fb friend (anymore).. which just makes you look even more pathetic.

Jason said I should change my blog name to ...
"You know what really grinds my gears?"

So on a better upside and happy note: We had an amazing day- in this beautiful weather. Park, mama's and dinner with the aunt - really quite enjoyable.
A few memorable moments of the day:
Z learned how to climb the spiraly thingy at the park that goes to the top- talk about a heart attack
-Z almost got in his first fist fight, while this is NOT a good thing:we did talk about being nice .. however can I say the kid deserved it.. just  alittle? what happened: Z went down the big slide.. another kid followed (he is probably 6 mos older than my son) He went too soon and he hit Z in the head with his feet. Z gets mad and proceeds to push his feet away. The kid gets mad and proceeds to kick Z- Z then starts to all out start hitting the kids feet with his hands and going hard- and fast and I see anger building up in him and that anger is going to end on the other kids face. *I am at the top of slide and was going to turn around to get Z at the bottom.. all I can do is say "no no no no" and Z is so engulfed in what is going on.. he is getting that tunnel vision and sees target.... OH NO! I look around yell for another mama I knew to please rip my son away from the scene of where the accident is going to occur. *this seemed like it was taking an hour- when in reality it was less than a minute. - When Z was peeled away from the other kid- you see it dawn on him that he didn't know what happened! I ran down to the bottom made him apologize and told him we do not hit. *I was wondering where this other mom was- she never saw a thing.. she was too busy talking with other people... great-
- Maggie's cuddle time with me! One of the happiest parts of my day- Z takes a nap- and I get alone time with my baby girl where I can just hold her.. makes me realize how much I miss Z at that age and when he use to let me just cuddle him as much.. I think with the 2nd they get cuddled more because you realize how fast it really does go!
- Jason eating SO MUCH FOOD at johnny's steakhouse.. seriously I DO NOT know how he can eat as much as he does.. he was sweating at the end of the meal!

Today was a good day- everyday with my babies is  a good day.. the end of the day- means they grew another day! THEY ARE GROWING TOO TOOO TOOOOOOOO TOOOOOOOO FAST!

Forgiveness is a process

Why hello again!
Today I want to complain- however: Something inside me tells me that I shouldn't because indeed it can always be worse.  I need to be thankful for what I have- so whenever I am at a loss.. I find myself going back to the word:

Heb 12:28 Let us be thankful, then, because we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Let us be grateful and worship God in a way that will please him, with reverence and awe;

Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which you also were called in one body, and be thankful.

So... This makes me think and remember- Be thankful for my family, my friends, my home, my food, **of course when we ask Zeeky what he is thankful for during nightly prayers: it is usually (elmos, meows, papa, mammie, geg, nana, trees, outside, mowers, austin, mama, daddy, maggIE, guinea pig,  ... and it goes on like that- and depending on the day can change to more things or a selection of a few of these) and most of all my Kingdom I will have in the end.

With that being said: this is where I am today:
It started off great- went to the zoo- my babies were surpringsily well- Maggie is one happy happy HAPPY baby- and Z we went through the day well- he even had a dry diaper after many hours! - He was  a little whiney- but all in all- good - I was thankful to get through the zoo with 2 under 2 in one piece.

We get to the car- with the dry diaper I notice, because I decide to change him in the car- knowing that he will fall asleep on the way home- he needs to go "potty"- anyone that has potty trained- if one is willing- you must treat this like the armegedon and RUN to find a toilet..  for a little one to relieve this feeling inside them(and you must move and think FAST).. I was in the parking lot.. in a frantic- thinking "WHY DID I NOT BUY THAT RIDICULOUS POTTY I MADE FUN OF THAT GOES SOOOO HANDY IN THE BACK OF YOUR CAR (gross right)????" <now I understand why> although I still think it's ridiculous...?

I look at my gf and say I am sorry- I dont know what to do.. but let him go here....

Drop the drawers on the tire he goes- with embaressment comes VICTORY- and grossness- and CONGRATULATIONS! soooo...

Then come home he goes night night- Mags and I snuggles... and Jason is HOME- comes in the house- what does he tell me he finds? our beautiful fence torn to pieces! We just put this up last year- not even a year old... No note- no one came to the door.. no nothing but a guilty person driving off. It is torn to pieces soooo horribly :(

our neighbor said that she saw a white van or truck drive off (may I mind you this is from her son telling us because she is about ohhh 80- and doesnt speak english).  She lives with one of her other sons, his wife and 3 children... but they were not home. "supposedly" she was in the house heard a big crash came out and saw a white truck or van drive off... Now the reason we brought our fence all the way back was because the neighbor's guests kept parking in our extra slot... sooo - we are hoping it wasn't a guest person hitting it- and believing what they say. . .

When the son says to me " I don't know how someone couldn't have seen this?" (proceeds to smack at my fence) and then says "or park here fine- I parkED my big truck here with a trailer just fine and didn't hit it today".

I took it for what it was came back in and Jason is calling the nonemergencey police for our hit and run incident.. *which I am certain we won't hear anything about that*

Then I thought to myself: Waiiiiit- his truck and trailer were parked in front? If he parked there JUST fine.. then why is he in front of the house? ehhh... I guess it's for the birds now..

We go and run our errands then come home to find:

Our new backgate hand to latch it is busted- someone shoved the door so hard- it didn't latch but bend so you can not open or shut the back door now.. We left about 430 after the cop took the report walked thru the gate fine and shut gate fine and came home around 6 to it completly busted.

I asked our neighbors-the old lady- but her son was home now... (who were outside the back the whole time) and they never saw anyone enter our leave since we left... ehh it's for the birds.

I just really REALLY wonder how people can live with themselves... Drive off from accidents, steal from others, and live a "happy" "healthy" life. It makes me sad... to think so many are among us with an empty heart. I really pray tonight more for my fellow citizens I share this earth with. A fence is a fence- it can be fixed, I am thankful Zeeky was not playing there at that moment- or any other children.

But I am sad for the people with that guilty conscience now- Everytime they look at their beaten up car, truck, van or trailer, they see what they have done... and someday come to ask for forgivness... at this point not even from me (but it would be nice for them to pay for it...)

Every sin.. is a sin.. no matter how big or how small.. a sin is a sin.. equal in every way- which does kinda freak me out- but some people not so much. . . So tonight I will not only be reading my bible for the knowledge of thankfulness, but for forgiveness for me to forgive those people, and for them to find forgiveness within themselves.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Can't I just really like this one:

Luke 15:7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

But I REALLY need to:

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Isn't that just beautiful?

MY FIRST POST!?!?!?!???

Why hello!
You ventured into my post, eh? Well let me warn you... I do not spell correctly (I actually just wrote smell instead of spell but caught that one!). I do not do things "grammatically" correct- hence I am not sure that is spelled correctly either?  What you will find: probably pics of my family and I.. random things, and my random thoughts- some good some bad.. About a lot of randomness- I must give the credit to my girlfriend, she said I should start a blog- I was like I am sooo random- she said exactly!! and HERE WE GO::::::
Right now I am listening to my husband pick up milk my son just spilled... you know how they say don't cry over spilt milk? Well I think I finally came to the conclusion why they say that... because after the umpteenth time of telling our son, "dont do that, I said no, please listen, stop, hold on, wait, ... AND BOOM there it goes again- another glass of milk or water on the floor." My beautiful, strong headed, strong willed son... has issues with listening right now. We are almost 2 and we have came to the conclusion- I have a mind of my own. Although I embrace this and want him to be a leader NOT a follower, there are days I wish he could just follow what we say...
So there has been times at the end of the day when I see that milk hit the floor, I do just want to throw my hands up and cry. . . Instead:
I find myself say, "please listen.." "that's why we don't do that..." etc etc. And I clean it up- ask for help in cleaning-which his cute little blue eyes look up at me and he mutters "sorry"- and he proceeds to try and help- and it usually is a bigger mess with his help... but hey:
I am teaching him something- I am teaching him to pick up your messes, your actions have consequences, how to apoligize and how to make it better. All in all... there is a lot worse out there than spilt milk, but it can be frustrating!
The end of the day I love that little man more than anything else and I do this all for him...It may be tough now but I am hoping all the repeated no's, pick ups, time outs and teaching the same thing over and over again will help him be a successful young man in the future.

It makes me sad thinking where did it go wrong? What happened? When you see young men or woman for the matter (but my daughter is only 5 mos.. so not much but snuggles right now)- talk to their parents! Treat their parents...it starts with the parents but ventures into school, friendships, relationships and more... I wonder is it the kids now a days or is it the parenting style? Yes children are learning things much TOO fast now a days... compared to when I was that age and especially when my mother or grandmother were that age... however: respect, learning consequences and so on... that lies on the parents. The whole nurture vrs. nature argument could come into play now as well... Which I understand to an extent-
My brother and I were raised by the same two parents our whole lives- however we are opposites- but I would like to think we both have ended up successful, respectful and able to contribute to soceity in some way and in our own way. So each child is different, but there are still some ways to teach the same general rules of soceity and how to make them as successful as they can be in their own way.

Therefore: I do not cry over spilt milk, but i treat that spilt milk as a look toward the future, as a learning experiment for my son and myself.
